  • I used to think that feeling some of these symptoms daily was normal…

  • Joint aches and pains
  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Swelling
  • Difficulty controlling your weight
  • Bloating
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Constipation
  • Acid Reflux
  • Diarrhea
  • Ulcers
  • You might be experiencing some of the symptoms above and have accepted that ‘this is just a part of life, this is normal’. Well, they are common but not normal for a healthy individual.
  • What you may be experiencing is inflammation. What is inflammation in the body? Inflammation is our immunes system's response to a possible injury or infections. Where inflammation becomes a larger issue to your health is when it’s chronic – a persistent state of inflammation. This can be caused by several things: eating high fructose sugary foods, trans fats, cigarette toxins, excessive alcohol, processed meats, and the list continues!
  • The good news is, we don’t need to fight inflammation with a pill bottle, we can fight it with what we have in our fridge instead! As you may be starting to learn, healthy whole foods have an incredible superpower, and are able to help us fight and prevent many of the leading diseases killing north Americans today. So you might be wondering, which foods cause inflammation and which don’t?
  • INFLAMMATORY FOODS: fast food, soft drinks, processed meats, dairy, gluten
  • ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOODS (GOOD!): vegetables, avocado, nuts, turmeric, ginger, garlic, onion, salmon, olive oil, flax seeds, chia seeds … and many more!
  • By eating a well-rounded diet, filled with anti-inflammatory foods, you are setting your body down the right path to prevent diseases like diabetes, heart disease, depression, and more. It’s important that we address the symptoms that we might be facing and take the steps to stopping inflammation from the inside out. Start with a review of your diet for 5-7 days and taking note of how you are feeling, then look back and see if you think it is inflammation and start making the necessary changes with healthy foods!
  • This is the type of information that I teach in my 12-Week Empower Program, which helps you reframe your mindset, create healthy habits, and find joy in moving your body every day. Connect with me directly to get on the list for the next program starting September 2022.
  • I hope this information was helpful!
