hola everyone!
i'm here in Mexico City with my best friend from high school, ellen. She's lived here for 5 years and I've finally made the trek to see her & joyfully romp around the city.
so far I've met a literal basketful of kittens in the park, watched a man play with a wooden puppet, prayed at an ancient cathedral, gotten a full set of acrylic nails, witnessed energy cleansings in the Zócalo, and eaten a lot of chilaquiles.
last night during a rainstorm as Ellen and I drove home from a delicous Oaxacan style meal, we heard "SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS" by the Postal Service on a Mexican radio station. Ben Gibbard was basically the ven diagram of our musical interests in high school, so this sparked a very raucous sing-along, and an immediate dance party upon our return.
this leads me to my entire point of this email: one of ellen and I's favorite things to do is to march around and play "follow the leader" dance aerobics where one person leads, and the other follows, in a sort of unspoken, hilarious, and suprisingly exhaustive dance routine.
great news: tomorrow, you can join in the fun!
come laugh! come listen to 2000's hits! come shimmy! come shake! come march! come make a mockery of yourself!
we can't wait to lead you through this joyful hour long class on Sunday June 19 from 5:00-6:00 PM PST//7:00-8:00 CST!
