All Diets Have One Thing in Common

There’s no such thing as “a best diet" or a "Universal Do it all" diet.

What’s the “right diet” for you to follow?

Thesre are  so many different diets out there like; Keto, Paleo, Vegan, Mediterranean, High-carb, Low-carb, and theories like; frequently eating small meals or infrequently eating large meals. All of these are not as different as you might think. They all have one thing in common. They make you pay better attention to what and when you eat which are 2 key factors that will determine whether you will or won't lose fat, get lean, or improve your health.

Whether you focus on avoiding carbs, eating more vegetables, seeking out organic/free-range foods, avoiding animal protein, or chose a "Paleo” diet, all of them are good. The choice you make really doesn't matter. Anyone of these will make you aware and care more about what you’re eating. Pretty much all diets recommend eating whole, non, or minimally processed nutrient-rich foods. When we’re more aware of what we eat we typically choose more satisfying, highly nutritious foods which are balanced making them much more filling and mentally satisfying. As a result, you'll end up eating less at mealtime which will make you lose fat, gain lean muscle, and increase your energy level so you can perform better.

Notice that I didn't mention "Calorie Counting" here. Food awareness and focusing on food quality is usually enough for most people to tune in and control their own hunger and appetite. When people start paying attention to their nutrition, they usually start thinking about some form of physical activity to accompany their new eating habits to help them achieve even more positive results. 

When a person exercises regularly, with a mix of high and low-intensity activity, they dramatically improve their ability to turn the food they eat (whatever food that is) into functional tissue instead of extra fat.

Hopefully, this helps you understand how all of these different, well-designed dietary philosophies (even when some may seem oppositional) will promote good health, body composition, and longevity.

To work properly for both the short and long-term, diets need to be tailored made by a professional specializing in building meal and exercise plans to fit a person's lifestyle and dietary preferences and they also need to be combined with a little exercise.
