Why do I do what I do?

I do it for you.

I do it because I believe in a world where humans are able to heal themselves by simply being with themselves.

Life is a lot to handle. In these modern-day times we are constantly putting ourselves through stressful situations and rarely take the time to process our emotions.

We live in a society that prides itself on being busy. The busier you are the better you are. The more you have, the more valuable you are.

We don’t learn to take time for ourselves or what it truly means to take care of ourselves. Our education centers on history and math; knowledge most of us have never used since graduating high school or college.

What is truly valuable? Knowing yourself. Why do you feel how you feel? What happened during the day that left you with a knot in your stomach? What did you read that made you feel anxious?

I hold space for creative expression because I believe art is the greatest tool for self-exploration. When you make something, you free yourself. You make space to feel, to heal, to grow, to see experiences in new ways.

Expressing yourself creatively has been proven to have a positive impact on your health and wellbeing. Sharing your truest feelings and emotions can contribute to your physical well-being. Holding on to emotions like anger, anxiety, and grief can do serious harm to the body, often leading to heart disease, chronic pain, or immune dysfunction.

If you knew there was a pill to cure depression, anxiety, stress, and worry, would you take it? Making art is the simpler answer. There’s nothing you need to know and nothing to worry about.

Creative expression is freedom. There is no right or wrong way to express yourself; there is just your way.

I do what I do because every time you make something, you heal something.
